Woodbury began as Woodbury Business College in 1884, located in downtown Los Angeles. After becoming Woodbury University, it moved to its current location in 1985 after acquiring the campus from an all-girls Catholic high school.

Woodbury has been known for its hands-on and experiential learning and majors that include architecture, fashion design, game design, graphic design, professional writing and filmmaking, among others.
Woodbury recently announced a merger with the University of Redlands. For me, I can see how Redlands will benefit from the unique majors offered by Woodbury, while Woodbury will have access to the many resources available through the University of Redlands, including online courses.

So many important ideas in this, especially the ending:

"My hope is you won’t lose sight of the long game either. This fall “where you got in” will be a brief mention in a passing conversation, rather than a bragging point. “Where you didn’t get in” or chose not to go will accompany a shoulder shrug or a casual laugh or perhaps a “their loss.” How you show up to college (I.e., prepared academically, mentally and physically healthy, and demonstrating that confidence and contentment we just discussed) is far more important than where you end up going. "
