Here's a great summer program for students who live in Ventura County or western Los Angeles County. Regardless of one's politics, the Reagan Student Leadership Program allows students to expand their leadership abilities by attending a week-long workshop on communication and decision-making. There are six, one-week programs to choose from. Here are the details:
www.reaganfoundation.org/education/student-leadership-program/ Applicants to the University of California who many not be eligible for the Blue and Gold Opportunity Program should check out the Middle Class Scholarship Program. This program provides some need-based financial aid to families whose income is less than $165,000 a year.
admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/paying-for-uc/glossary/middle-class-scholarship/index.html For students applying to the University of California, FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the California Dream Act Application are due by March 2, along with a GPA Verification sent by your high school. These applications will make students eligible for financial aid, including the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan at all UC campuses. Check out all the information here:
