I spent a morning at Woodbury University in Burbank CA. Woodbury began as Woodbury Business College in 1884, located in downtown Los Angeles. After becoming Woodbury University, it moved to its current location in 1985 after acquiring the campus from an all-girls Catholic high school.
Woodbury has been known for its hands-on and experiential learning and majors that include architecture, fashion design, game design, graphic design, professional writing and filmmaking, among others.
Woodbury recently announced a merger with the University of Redlands. For me, I can see how Redlands will benefit from the unique majors offered by Woodbury, while Woodbury will have access to the many resources available through the University of Redlands, including online courses.
